Hear the Go! Team's third album of 'girl-shouting, trumpet-squealing, double dutch blaxploitation' before anyone else
The Go! Team, Brighton's champions of sample-shredding pop mania, are back with their third album. Featuring guest spots from Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino and Deerhoof's Satomi Matsuzaki, it's an album that strives for what the group's Ian Parton told us was a "widescreen, Morricone-esque" vibe. Of course, this being the Go! Team, it ends up sounding more like what Guardian critic Alexis Petridis calls "girl-shouting, trumpet-squealing, double dutch blaxploitation" ... but we'll let you be the judge of that.
