In this episode of iOS Game Time, we surgically remove bits of glass, play bits of fiddle, and try and restore our little tribe to its once glorious nature. For information on Editor?s high score, please refer to last week (it's still active until we have a few more than two people sign up)! So without further ado, Game Time.
Amateur Surgeon 2
Adult Swim
$0.99
You ever hear that Apple?s ?Draconian? app censorship policy is getting out of hand? Well, apparently it's not. Meet the rating warnings for Amateur Surgeon 2:
* Infrequent/Mild Alcohol, Tobacco, or Drug Use or References
* Frequent/Intense Profanity or Crude Humor
* Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes
* Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence
* Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes
* Infrequent/Mild Realistic Violence
* Infrequent/Mild Sexual Content or Nudity
And the game isn?t joking. It?s gross. Surprisingly gross. Like ?remove a passport from someone?s stomach? gross.
Don?t be surprised by this. Any of this.
The game has you extracting, slicing, and stitching weird peoplen with gross ailments. Its fun, but difficult, and we don?t recommend it for the queasy types.
Magic Fiddle
Smule, Inc.
$2.99
Magic Fiddle is a bit like Guitar Hero, but with instruments you'd likely find at a Square Dance. The game play is somewhat like Tap Tap Revenge, and if you hit a note, but just barely, it sounds off. To play the songs perfectly is also a bit of a challenge.
It takes a special kind of man to get a 231 note streak on "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
The game has tons of songs and modes and you can win trophies for how accurately you play them. You can buy song packs for $0.99, or just whip it out for some solo action, but either way you?ll keep fiddling till the cows come home.
Civilization Wars
Chillingo
$0.99
Chillingo made Angry Birds, and then it made Cut The Rope. Now, its time for something completely different. Civilization Wars is almost the same game as Castle Warriors, but with tons of new features.
The main gist of the game is that you must occupy all the enemy territories by strategically sending your bases (in unison) to attack the enemies. Once you reach a certain level, you can play the same stages but with options like ?blind mode?, in which you can?t see the numbers of enemies troops, or ?mummy modes?, in which you have to survive for as long as you can. Each of these modes gives you additional experience which unlocks new modes and new skills.
We?re addicted already.
That?s it for this time. If you haven?t entered for the previous two Editor?s High Scores, do it now! We currently only have two entrants!
