ChevronWP7 Windows Phone 7 Unlocker Allows Sideloading Of Unofficial Apps

ChevronWP7 Windows Phone 7 Unlocker Allows Sideloading Of Unofficial Apps

Jailbreaking phones seems to be a hot topic recently and now word is going around that a Windows Phone 7 (WP7) tool has been released, allowing devices powered by WP7 to sideload unsigned applications, sidestepping the block put in place to block non-Marketplace developer account holders. The ChevronWP7 unlocker, as it's called, also allows apps that use private or native APIs to be loaded too. The process itself isn't complicated and you'll only need to hook it up via a USB cable. In case you're worried about permanent damage, the tool claims to be completely safe and reversible, allowing you to re-lock the phone if you wish. If course, being unofficial software, you might want to tread carefully as usual.
