Faking your location on your iOS device may be easier than you think thanks to a jailbreak application available from Cydia called FakeLocation. Whether you want to steal the Mayorship of your neighborhood hang out Foursquare, or you want to pull a prank on a friend, we?ll show you how to fake your location no matter where you?re at.
What you?ll need:
>> Jailbroken iOS Device
>> FakeLocation app from Cydia (10-day free trial, then $3.84 USD)
>> A location-based app like FourSquare or GoWalla
1. Download and Install the FakeLocation application
First, you'll need to head to the Cydia store and search for FakeLocation, then install it. After installation, you may need to reboot (or respring) your device using the button that is presented to you in Cydia.
2. Setting your location
After your device reboots, you will notice a new application on your home screen for FakeLocation. Open the application by tapping this icon, and then select the ?Choose Fake Location? button at the bottom of the screen. 
You will then be able to set your fake location by dragging the map around. Wherever the crosshairs are located is where the GPS coordinates will be faked. When you find that location, simply tap the blue ?Set? button in the top-right corner.
If you want to reset your location, simply tap the Real Location button at the bottom of the screen to be whisked away to where you are, right this second; or, tap Fake Location to be sent back to the place you were last at. When you're finished, tap the "Close" button.
3. Faking an application
When you return to the main screen of the FakeLocation application, you will be presented with a list of the applications installed on your device. Tap the applications that you want to be included in the location fake out; the apps that are initiated will have a small checkmark at the right. When you?re finished, tap the home button to return to the iOS homescreen.
4. Apps, fooled
When you launch one of the applications you selected in FakeLocation, a small drop-down from the time bar on your iOS device will alert you that you're faking your application.
I had luck checking into Mac|Life HQ in South San Francisco from 2,649 mi away on both Gowalla and Foursquare. You could just as easily used the FakeLocation application to change the location metadata on the photos you take with the iPhone camera.
However, it's tough to pinpoint an exact location when the app you're using is set on fake location. To set a fake out, you'll have to drag around the map, which can become slightly tedious if you're looking for a specific place.
So, there you have it: an easy way to fake your location on your iOS devices. Remember to use this feature responsibly and that terms and conditions of some check-in services may prohibit the use of fake GPS coordinates.
