Drift Legends Review

A map shows you upcoming curves. Drifting around them is your problem.

In the movies, drift racing leads to glamor, excitement, and sometimes a guest appearance by Vin Diesel. But all roads in Drift Legends lead to mind-bending frustration.

You start out as a small-timer, unlocking cars and tracks as you earn medals in trials though looping, drift-friendly courses. Controls are simple: one button accelerates, two more buttons (or an optional wheel) steer your ride, but the button you?ll use most is the one that restarts races from the beginning.

Victory demands split-second timing and precise maneuvers, and lack of steering sensitivity settings makes it easy to send your car hopelessly off course, costing you time, points, and possibly sanity. But one driver?s road rage is another driver?s fun, and this demanding gameplay give tracks the fiendish trial-and-error replayability of a puzzle game.

The bottom line. If difficult driving revs your motor, Drift Legends delivers. Otherwise, steer clear.
