After experiencing one of the most powerful earthquakes in recorded history (8.9 magnitude), Japan has been hit with a 30-foot tsunami that has caused massive flooding and fires. While the nation scrambles to get all of the damage under control and keep people safe, private citizens have been filming the events and posting them to YouTube so the world can bear witness. The people over at Citzentube have been curating the earthquake and tsunami videos as they're being uploaded, and I've rounded up a few of the craziest ones to give you a feel for what's going on.
The extent of the damage is still unclear, but hundreds of deaths have already been reported, and many more are missing. Those numbers are expected to rise drastically, so if you or anyone you know is in Japan, Google has set up a Person Finder tool to help people locate their loved ones during the crisis.
